Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about PetSynk.

Getting Started

How does PetSynk work?

+
PetSynk brings every signal about your pet — veterinary reports, weight history, activity from collars or wearables, behavior notes, food, supplements and meds — into one connected timeline. Instead of scattered records and a guessy memory, you get one clear picture of how your pet is actually doing, what changed, and what to watch. The more you log, the more useful it becomes.

How quickly will I see value?

+
You'll start seeing patterns as soon as you add your first data — a recent veterinary visit, a weight log, or activity from a pet wearable. Even a few weeks of consistent data is enough for early trends to surface.

What kind of pet data can I add?

+
Veterinary reports and bloodwork, vaccination history, weight and body condition, activity and sleep from pet wearables, food and treats, supplements, medications, and your own behavior notes (mood, appetite, restlessness). Everything lands in one timeline.

Do I need a wearable to use it?

+
No. You can start with just manual notes and a recent veterinary report. PetSynk becomes more powerful over time as you add more — but it works from day one.

Insights & Features

Why is this better than a notes app or a veterinarian portal?

+
Notes apps don't connect anything. Veterinary portals only show what happened during a visit. PetSynk connects everything in between — daily activity, weight, behavior, food and meds — so you can see slow changes long before they become obvious.

How accurate are the insights?

+
Insights are based on your pet's actual data compared against their own baseline — not generic breed averages. They highlight patterns and changes worth noticing, they don't diagnose.

Does PetSynk get smarter over time?

+
Yes. PetSynk is built as a continuous monitoring system, not a one-off check. As your pet's history grows, baselines tighten and small deviations become easier to spot. The more consistent your logging, the earlier subtle changes show up.

Can I bring this to a veterinary visit?

+
Yes. You can generate a veterinarian-ready summary with recent trends, behavior notes, weight, activity and any flagged patterns — perfect for a 15-minute appointment where context usually gets lost.

What is the Veterinarian-Ready Report?

+
A clean, structured PDF of your pet's recent timeline, key trends and flagged patterns — generated instantly. You hand it to your veterinarian instead of trying to remember three months of changes from memory.

Does it work for cats and dogs?

+
PetSynk currently focuses on dogs and cats, with shared logic for both species. Species-specific logic continues to expand as more rule packs are added.

Is this veterinary advice?

+
No. PetSynk is not a veterinary diagnosis tool and does not replace professional veterinary care. It helps you organize your pet's health data and surface patterns worth discussing with a veterinarian.

Can I track multiple conditions at once?

+
Yes. PetSynk follows weight, activity, behavior, food, supplements and meds in parallel, so chronic conditions, recovery periods and seasonal changes can all be monitored side by side without losing context.

Privacy & Data

Is my pet's data private?

+
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. You decide what to log, and you decide what to share — no data is ever sold or used for advertising. Read more about how we handle data on our privacy page.

Can I delete my pet's data anytime?

+
Yes. You can export or delete everything at any time. You stay in full control.

Multiple Pets

Can I add more than one pet?

+
Yes. Each pet gets its own profile, with its own timeline, baseline and insights. Multi-pet households can switch between pets in one tap.

Are profiles kept separate?

+
Completely. Each pet's data, baseline and trends are isolated. Insights for one pet never mix with another.
